About Us
The people behind Flevo Decals are Björn and Niels Dol. 2 modelers who stept into the decal bussines in early 2009.
They both do this next to a full time job.
Björn has worked in Aircraft Maintenance since the last couple of years. He has worked for Transavia and KLM. For his education he has served a year With the airforce at Twenthe AB. In the modeling area he builds mostly 1/48 with some exceptions in to other scales. He has a passion for the Grumman F-14 tomcat. Next to this you builds models from different times from WW2 to the present. Within the company of Flevo Decals he keeps busy with checking and making ready of the decalsheet before they are send to the printer. He also draws the profiles for the instructions.
Since 2002 Niels is working with the Dutch railways as a conductor. After being a model train modeler he went back in the plastic modeling hobby since 7 years. He mainly builds in the scales 1/72 and 1/32 but also sometimes 1/144. He is interested in a lot of different subjects, from the mid 30s to the present. but the most he is interested in Dutch aviation, US Navy, and the Scandinavian airforces. Within Flevo Decals he does most of the research work, and designs the basics of the sheets and helps with the final design of the instructions. Next to this the complete distribution is also done by Niels.
Next to us there are some people who help us with specific references and tips.
Next to the decal sale through the website we also try to visit multiple modeling events and conventions, there we hav our decals and a good supply of 2nd hand kits.
We are always open for tips and suggestions, and additional reference material is always very welcome. Once an options is realizable, we will certainly think about it. One thing we won't do, is making a sheet specialy for a very limited run kit, but we can put it as an option on a sheet with different aircrafts. As an example 4 options where you use standaard kits, and 1 option for a vac-form or resin kit.
We are also able to design / print decals for other projects, from a minimum of 50 pieces. To discuss this you have to contact us, and we can see what will be possible.
